You all continually make me laugh, cry and inspire me to do great things. Ok. Maybe not great things but your ideas motivate me to get off my butt and tear myself away from this keyboard and live a little! Here are some booty shakers from the past week….
AC’s Scrapbook – Angelcel raises an interesting question in this post about abuse. She’s got me thinking about an incident I witnessed a few years ago and has me inspired to write about it. Stay tuned.
Ivy League Insecurities – Aidan highlighted John Osbourne, author of Tales from the Trips: How Three Babies Turned Our World Upside-Down in this post. Our world was turned upside down and our adoption threatened when we found out (AFTER #1son was already assigned to us and we were waiting for him to come home) that I was 8 weeks pregnant. Please, don’t say “Oh, that happens all the time!” It doesn’t. But that is for another post.
Diary of A Virgin Novelist – I was going to direct you here for a really great post on “the love of words” highlighting one of my favorite books by Roald Dahl, “The BFG.” But then, while running over there to snag the URL, I stumbled upon this really great post asking the question “Is life too short to read bad books?” Fascinating stuff!
