Six-year-old Eden Wood is retiring from…..
beauty pageants.
After all, she’s competed in over 300 already. Call it burn-out. Call it been-there-done-that. Whatever the reason, she’s done.
Oh. Wait.
Maybe pageants will interfere with her book tour. She’s written a memoir. It’s called “From Cradle To Crown.” Six years old and she has a memoir already.
Boy, I’d better get busy with mine. Looks like I’m about 40 years behind schedule.

I was going to laugh, but I was busy gagging. Ickkkk. I’d imagine my 6-year-old memoir would have involved a lot less glitter and spray tanning.
Toddlers and Tiaras? So very sad. What on earth will they do with the rest of their lives? Especially when the world doesn’t treat them like something extra special. What are those mothers thinking!

I saw a commercial for Toddlers and Tiaras and was totally disgusted by the thought of this being a TV show. I’m thinking it should be considered a form of child abuse. I wonder how these little divas will act when they’re grown.
I think my 6 year memoir would have involved stomping in mud, catching fireflies, grilling hotdogs on sticks….and it probably would be a better read than hers. Just sayin.
I just had a great idea, thanks to you, Dawn. Let’s write our 6-year-old memoir! If any of you out there needs a blogging nudge, post idea, etc. — join us in writing your memoir. We’ll meet back here next week Friday and post a link to our blogs. Maybe I’ll even figure out how to provide that McLinky thing – I’ve done it before, surely I can do it again. So wrong on many levels. Wonder who her ghost writer is going to be? A ten year old?
I just threw up in my mouth. A six-year-old with memoirs. That’s it. Game over. The end. I’ve seen enough.
Maybe Cutie Patootie is just going to go back to being plain old Eden Wood. Maybe I’m being hopelessly optimistic but maybe she’ll turn out the way a child is supposed to be, happy, playful and full of life, and she won’t mind if she gets wet or grubby.
I haven’t seen any of the Toddlers & Tiaras shows but I have looked for them on Google Images and it would be a real understatement to say I did not like what I saw. They’re children, not dolls, so stop treating them like dolls!
