Most wonderful commercial ever! (At this time of year, anyway!)
Just one more week for mine. How about yours?

For a second there I was expecting a summertime Christmas post, but that’s my specialty. 🙂
Been there, done that. Nice switcheroo! And only one more week? Sweet anticipation!
Do they have an advent calendar for that?
D. goes back on the 18th! It went so fast…
That commercial rocks. Not saying I’m looking forward necessarily to my little boo starting kindergarten, though. ***sniff!***
My daughter goes back on August 15th. It is bittersweet because she starts Kindergarten. Letting go is around the corner…
Let me just say again. UGH.
(Where’s my $50 bill printing press?)
See, there’s the benefit of only having a dog. You don’t have to go thru that kindergarten separation thingy. On the other hand she’s never going to grow up and support her mama.
Now that is a funny spot! And so true! Our schools start next week as well. It has been a short vacation for the kids in our county. The year was extended to make up snow days.
Not until after Labour Day. Going to school in August? What kind of monsters ARE you people?
Allison, our kids get out of school right around May 20th, a full three weeks before kids up north. Why they do it that way I don’t know, but I’m sure the length of our summer break is nearly the same.
I love this commercial. I laughed until I cried when I saw it for the first time last year (or year before?). It’s one of those that’s destined to become a classic.
Live with a retired teacher and you could call me a retired mom, but they don’t let you. We were surprised this year by the return to school themes! You mean, our country can still afford public school? From the debt ceiling hype and spin, it was hard to tell. Meanwhile, some places are paying to ride the school bus, which ought to make the pick-up line at the middle school a three-hour process.
I always had about a week of being glad to have a little daytime freedom, but then the homework wrangles began and I found summer’s easier, after all. But that’s just me.
What mostly makes us happy is change that we’re used to.
I absolutely LOVE this commercial. Do you know that I saw Halloween candy in the store? Aye Carrumba! Oh well. Congrats on your award, I do love reading your blog…
Day after Labour Day is the true “Mother’s Day”!
One more week, but it feels like the summer went by too fast. But I know if he’s ever going to get an education, he’ll have to go to school because we are not fit for home school.
